LY2 – Chapter 61: A Few Things I Want to Say (Author’s Note)

Before I even started writing, I wondered what someone who had already written six long novels could possibly still have left to write. But in the end, I finished it very smoothly. I never went back to reread Book 1. While I was writing, all sorts of things I thought I’d forgotten came back to me, like the secret code between the two of them and so on. In the end, this book turned out longer than anything I’d written before. It’s already entered the final stage now, and sales are expected to begin sometime between June 28 and June 30, so tonight I’ll just have to stay up late again. I’ll post an announcement on Weibo when the time comes.

Some people have left comments telling me that ever since the book release, they’ve lost the happiness of following updates every day, while whenever I update daily, other people wish I’d just release the whole book at once. You people really are… impossible to satisfy. Chapters will continue updating here even after the book comes out, so you can keep reading here. But at the very least, please don’t buy pirated copies. Something I spent countless days and nights writing gets scanned by someone else in a single day. All I can do is wish that those people get poked in the backside by someone they don’t like. The Taobao shop is called An’s Fairy Tale World; the little customer-service account is _angelene, and you can ask her about the details. One more thing I really want to emphasize: if you’ve already read the book, please don’t spoil it. Leave everyone else a little anticipation and room to guess. That’s the official explanation, of course. The truth is that if you spoil things, I won’t get to hear all of you complain the way Mai Ding does when certain plot developments torment him. Don’t ruin my fun. Then again, maybe I’m deliberately saying all this to make you think everything is fake, so you’ll lower your guard before I spring something real on you.

Right, what else was I going to say?

Next I want to finish a short-story series. After that, if I decide to write another “2,” I think it would be Zhi Li.

Let me say this again: right now I’m only thinking about it. I say things casually all the time.

For the new book sale, 350 signed copies is already my absolute limit. It feels exactly like being punished by a teacher as a child and forced to copy my name over and over.

I don’t think there’s anything else to say. There’s one more sentence I’ve deleted countless times, but I’ll say it anyway: I received all your birthday wishes. Mm, thank you… It’s better if you just keep reading and leaving comments. You really don’t need to tell me happy birthday. Everyone has a birthday. It’s nothing special. You already say… more than enough embarrassingly sweet things to me on ordinary days…
