SB – Chapter 81: Extra 1 — We’re Done

The first fallen leaf of autumn fluttered down, only to be stepped on by a finely crafted leather shoe. The sole twisted against it, destroying even the last trace of its beauty.

Sheng Yu stood on the steps of the high-rise, dressed in a crisp suit, his expression calm and indifferent. There was no sign of the dejection or frustration of someone at a disadvantage, even though handcuffs were currently fastened around his wrists.

Looking down from above, he swept his gaze over the people below the steps. After speaking quietly with the police officer beside him, Sheng Yu descended the stairs, passed several Yanyue shareholders wearing various expressions, and stopped in front of Yan Ye.

Their eyes met, neither holding a trace of warmth.

Sheng Yu spoke first. “I knew you were calculating, but I never expected you to be this meticulous. I thought my plan was flawless, unaware that you had seen through it long ago. Your counterattack was clean and beautifully executed too. You gathered so much evidence and left me no room at all, completely nailing me to the ground. Looking back now, I still underestimated you. I was too eager for quick success.”

The man raised both hands, revealing the gleaming silver handcuffs. “You won. The victor becomes king and the defeated become outlaws. I have nothing to complain about. Yanyue belongs to you now.”

Lifting his eyelids, Sheng Yu continued, “However, I only wanted to force you out of the security industry. I never intended to defraud you of your money, much less take your life. You can’t place the blame for everything that happened afterward on me. I, Sheng Yu, still have my limits. Besides, we’re relatives. There are certain bonds that should still be taken into consideration.”

The autumn wind stirred, carrying the sound of metal clinking at his wrists. Yan Ye curved his lips, but the smile did not reach his eyes as he mercilessly exposed Sheng Yu. “Your limits exist only to protect yourself. The charges for taking someone’s money and life are too serious. You simply didn’t want to place yourself at that kind of risk.”

The lie crumbled with a single strike. Sheng Yu looked somewhat embarrassed but did not argue. Instead, he asked, “Xue Bao Tian didn’t come?”

“I wanted to burn a stick of incense for you, but then I remembered you’re not dead yet.”

A voice as cold as jade came from behind a locust tree two or three meters away. Xue Bao Tian walked out from behind the trunk and leaned against its old, rough branches, mocking him. “Sheng Yu, did you just drink dichlorvos? Did it short-circuit that brain of yours, the kind you could buy ten jin of for eighty cents? Relatives? Should we thank you for sparing our lives too? Fuck, you’ve really moved me. When grass starts growing on your grave, I’ll buy you a bottle of paraquat. I definitely won’t let you wear a green hat.”

But Yan Ye seemed to have already lost control and was acting without restraint. Xue Bao Tian turned his head and bit his earlobe, using the pain to bring the man back to his senses. He casually coaxed him, “Grandson, behave. Master Xue will suck you off later.”

He knew Yan Ye liked his absolute submission and the way he looked up at him from below. Offering this in exchange worked as expected. Yan Ye braced both hands on either side of Xue Bao Tian’s body and said hoarsely, “Ask.”

“What are you going to do from now on?”

“From now on, I’ll discuss everything with you and ask Master Xue to make the decisions.”

“What if you do it again?”

“You can deal with me however you want.”

Xue Bao Tian reluctantly nodded, then waved his hand. “Master Xue always keeps his word. If I say we’re done, then we’re done. Get lost.”

“You just said you’d suck me…”

“You just said you’d let me make the decisions for you. Now Master Xue is making the first one. Take two steps back, put away your filthy thoughts, and get the hell over there!”

Xue Bao Tian’s wrist was grabbed again, and a fingernail lightly scratched his palm. Yan Ye asked, “How long are we done for?”

Xue Bao Tian had also fucking gone without it for half a month. Forcing himself to maintain his imposing manner, he said, “I’ll think about it.”

“Baobao, can it be shorter?”

Damn it, who could withstand a fierce tiger acting spoiled?

Xue Bao Tian choked for a moment. “At the very least… until tomorrow is over.”

Yan Ye pulled him into his arms and kissed him hard. “Fine. Then I’ll endure another twenty-four hours.”

The apartment door opened and closed. Xue Bao Tian entered, leaned against the door, and thought regretfully, Fuck, I said too much. How am I supposed to endure twenty-four hours?

Elio’s Notes: This is a short one. We’ll post the next chapter later today.
