DP – Chapter 18

Lu Xingyan had not watched many romance movies. Generally speaking, the male and female leads’ first night was always romantic.

Sometimes it happened at home, sometimes in a hotel.

Usually, they became impatient the moment they entered the elevator, staring ambiguously into each other’s eyes. Once inside the room, they would press each other against the wall and kiss passionately, tossing shoes and clothes out of frame while beautiful background music played, then fall together onto a large bed in a haze of desire.

Some scenes might not be quite so romantic, but at least the hero did not stand stupidly beside the bed for ages before finally squeezing out, “We seem to have forgotten condoms.”

And condoms were far from the only thing they had forgotten.

They had prepared absolutely nothing. They did not even have the necessary lubricant.

Lu Xingyan was not sure whether those things were strictly required. If they truly wanted to do it, perhaps they could manage without them?

But the experience might not be very good. Jiang Ji might be uncomfortable. Lu Xingyan’s magnificent plan had reached a critical stage and he absolutely could not irritate Jiang Ji.

“Bro, why don’t I…” Lu Xingyan hesitated, then sat beside Jiang Ji. “I’ll order a box for delivery.”

He did not dare look at Jiang Ji’s expression. He hurriedly opened his phone, searched on a certain delivery app, and muttered, “Can I just buy any kind? I’ve never used these before. Does it matter?”

The search results were bewilderingly varied. Lu Xingyan scrolled down while reading under his breath. “Ultra-thin bare feel, smooth polyurethane, natural latex… Why are there so many? How come there’s even one with hyaluronic acid? Isn’t that something people inject into their faces?”

Jiang Ji said, “…”

“Stop searching.” Jiang Ji finally interrupted. “If you keep acting stupid, I’m going home.”

“I-I’m not acting.”

“Mm. I know. You really are stupid.”

“…”

Lu Xingyan choked and wanted the floor to swallow him. Without sparing him another glance, Jiang Ji stood, took off his clothes, and went into the bathroom to shower.

Jiang Ji had not said it aloud, but Lu Xingyan still sensitively detected something.

His brother seemed to have started disliking him.

Only a few minutes ago, Jiang Ji had been smiling. That villainous smile had been frightening, but at least Jiang Ji had been looking at him, studying him, interested in him. Now he had abandoned Lu Xingyan and gone to shower by himself.

Lu Xingyan struggled internally for a moment, then followed him to the bathroom door. “Bro, I was wrong.”

Water continued running beyond the glass door.

Lu Xingyan diligently tried to appease him. “Then we won’t buy any. If you want to do it without a condom, I don’t mind. You could’ve just told me.”

Jiang Ji said, “…”

How could someone as stupid as Lu Xingyan exist in this world? Jiang Ji suddenly found himself sincerely confused.

More baffling still was the fact that Jiang Ji himself had been the one to suggest turning Lu Xingyan into his toy.

His original intention had been to turn Lu Xingyan’s scheme against him and play with the idiot, but at least in the instant he proposed it, he had been interested in his little brother. If there were no fun in it, why play at all?

Which raised the question: what exactly was supposed to be fun about playing with Lu Xingyan all the way into bed?

Warm water streamed slowly over Jiang Ji’s head as he fell into thought.

Although some of Lu Xingyan’s behavior was unquestionably acting, Jiang Ji had already realized there was an eighty-percent chance he was not straight either. No straight man could perform to this extent.

But then again, if the straight man in question was Lu Xingyan, perhaps it was not impossible…

The idiot’s brain had never operated normally.

Jiang Ji suspected he was becoming stupid too. Why else would he be attempting to analyze Lu Xingyan’s psychology?

Every extra second he spent thinking about it meant another portion of the “idiot virus” infecting him until Lu Xingyan dragged him down to the same intellectual level, then defeated him using superior experience in stupidity.

Jiang Ji finished showering and walked out expressionlessly. Lu Xingyan was somehow still waiting at the door. At first glance he looked quiet and composed. As long as he kept his mouth shut, he remained an exceptionally handsome man capable of deceiving outsiders.

“You go wash.” Jiang Ji wrapped himself in a bathrobe and sat in an armchair.

Lu Xingyan obeyed completely. He immediately went into the bathroom, showered as quickly as possible, and emerged to find Jiang Ji flipping through the hotel’s room-service menu.

“Are you hungry?” Lu Xingyan came up behind him and leaned down to look.

Jiang Ji said, “Yes. I’m thinking about whether I’m really that hungry.”

“Huh?” Lu Xingyan had no idea Jiang Ji had heard a girl gossiping about him earlier and therefore missed the callback completely. “Then should we eat something first?”

“No.” Jiang Ji pointed at the other chair and told him to sit. “Lu Xingyan, I thought about it just now. Why don’t we forget this? Let’s stop playing.”

Lu Xingyan froze. “Why?”

“You are my little brother after all,” Jiang Ji said. “I’m afraid I’ll feel awkward looking your dad in the face when we go home.”

“…”

He had such morals now? Where had all that shame been last night while they were sneaking around?

Lu Xingyan decided Jiang Ji simply disliked him now. There could be no other explanation.

“Did I say something wrong again?” Lu Xingyan grabbed his brother’s hand, humiliated. “I was willing to become your toy, and now you’re suddenly rejecting me. Do you think I’m not even good enough to be a toy?”

“That’s not it.”

“It is.” Lu Xingyan displayed a rare moment of self-awareness. “I have no experience. Every time I open my mouth, stupid things come out, so you think I’m unattractive, right? I think you have terrible taste too. Do you only like filthy, battle-hardened men with no male virtue?”

Elio’s Note: “Male virtue” here is internet slang parodying older rhetoric about “women’s virtue” and chastity. It humorously applies the same moral standard to men, so Lu Xingyan is essentially accusing experienced men of being “unchaste.”

Jiang Ji said, “…”

“Can you please stop talking?” Jiang Ji wanted to laugh again. Heaven knew he was not naturally someone who laughed often. “I’m saying this because I see you as my little brother. I don’t want to go too far.”

But if he was offered an escape and insisted on marching straight toward death anyway?

“You want to be a toy that badly? Fine.” Jiang Ji caught Lu Xingyan’s bathrobe and yanked hard. “Come here.”

Lu Xingyan was unprepared and fell directly against him, only to be pushed down by the shoulders and land on the floor.

“…” One knee braced beneath him, leaving him almost kneeling. Lu Xingyan’s heart pounded violently as he looked up and met his brother’s cold downward gaze, which carried a natural authority that made his breathing quicken.

He understood the command. Instinctively, he did not want to obey, but Jiang Ji’s hand had already pressed down, gripping the back of his head.

Lu Xingyan was forced closer. His face disappeared beneath his brother’s robe as he took him into his mouth.

It was his first time, and he had no technique. He wanted to lift his head and look at Jiang Ji, but from this angle he could see nothing. He could only feel Jiang Ji’s slow breathing and the faint, low-frequency tremors running through him.

The hotel’s shower gel smelled different from the products at home. Jiang Ji carried an unfamiliar fragrance now, a sweet, cloying fruit scent. Lu Xingyan breathed it deeply and felt faintly dizzy.

“…Watch your teeth,” Jiang Ji said softly. “Do you hate it?”

Hate what? What was he asking whether Lu Xingyan hated? Lu Xingyan’s brain had stopped functioning. He shook his head instead.

Jiang Ji sounded surprised. “You’re taking this remarkably well.”

Lu Xingyan could not speak.

Jiang Ji released an extremely soft gasp.

He had never truly decided they had to go all the way. Even with Lu Xingyan kneeling at his feet, Jiang Ji was still wavering between playing with him and letting his little brother go. Yet the hesitation itself became part of the forbidden thrill. Strange pleasure spread through him, and gradually Jiang Ji stopped thinking and allowed himself to sink into it.

Lu Xingyan was not especially obedient. Halfway through, he stopped listening and stood up.

Jiang Ji had only just closed his eyes when the sensation abruptly vanished. Before he could ask what Lu Xingyan was doing, Lu Xingyan wrapped himself around him and rubbed against his neck. “Bro, I want something too.”

Jiang Ji nearly choked. “Lu Xingyan, are you asking to get hit?”

His hand moved down, found the hard obstruction against him, and smacked it sharply. The person pressing against him shuddered, mortified. “Where are you hitting?”

“Get down.” Jiang Ji sounded displeased. “Don’t make me teach you.”

“…”

Lu Xingyan had no choice but to kneel again. Somehow, without instruction, he began to understand the technique and managed to take Jiang Ji deeper. Then he heard his brother’s breathing change.

From the corner of his vision, Jiang Ji’s bare feet trembled faintly against the floor. Lu Xingyan reached out, wrapped a hand around one ankle, and gently stroked it.

A moment later, the ankle in his palm suddenly tightened.

Jiang Ji finished in his mouth.

It was the first time Lu Xingyan had ever seen him lose control.

Jiang Ji was always cold and restrained, meticulously composed. His temper was not terrible, because he rarely exploded in fury, but it could not exactly be called good either. He simply lacked the easy smiles that conveyed warmth.

The Jiang Ji in Lu Xingyan’s dreams cried and begged for mercy, but that version was too different from reality for Lu Xingyan himself to take seriously.

Now the cold brother before him had changed.

His expression remained lofty, but his damp gaze betrayed pleasure and exhaustion. He resembled a lion resting with its eyes half closed, exposing one rare moment of weakness in which it seemed possible to seize the opening and bring him down with a single strike.

Lu Xingyan’s body moved faster than his mind.

By the time he understood what he was doing, he had already lifted Jiang Ji and changed their positions, putting Jiang Ji down while Lu Xingyan sat above him and forced him beneath his knees.

Jiang Ji was still dazed from the aftereffects and physically weak. Being shoved down caught him completely off guard. Before he could recover, Lu Xingyan pressed himself against his face, caught his jaw, and forced himself into Jiang Ji’s mouth.

He even spoke as though he were being perfectly reasonable. “Bro, it’s my turn now, right?”

“…” Jiang Ji almost stopped breathing. “Lu… Xing… yan!”

His mouth was obstructed, leaving the words blurred. Lu Xingyan became intelligent at precisely the wrong moment and instinctively knew to keep a firm hold on Jiang Ji’s jaw. Otherwise, he risked getting bitten.

Jiang Ji tried to rise, but Lu Xingyan behaved like a man who had grown tired of living and held him down with all his strength.

Perhaps the stimulation was simply too intense. Before long, Jiang Ji felt the force restraining him suddenly disappear.

The next instant, warm wetness splashed across his face, caught in his lashes, and ran down his cheeks and jaw.

“…”

For five or six seconds, Jiang Ji said nothing.

Lu Xingyan, whose lower body had briefly taken control of his brain, became fully conscious again.

He also said nothing.

The air froze as though dead. Lu Xingyan did not even dare reach out and wipe Jiang Ji’s face.

Another half minute passed before Jiang Ji finally moved.

As though absolutely nothing had happened, he rose, casually pulled a tissue from the table, wiped the moisture from his face, then straightened his robe.

“Bro—”

“Don’t call me that.” Jiang Ji interrupted and pointed at the door. “Get out.”
