CD – Chapter 78: He Just Didn’t Understand Why

The two squeezed together in the bathroom and let A’Er and A’Si play happily together for a while, then moved from the bathroom to the bedroom, giving A’Si a warm, moist place to exercise.

For some reason, He Chu San abandoned his usual cautious approach that night. Right from the start, he gripped Xia Liu Yi’s ass and fucked him hard, moving with such fierce urgency that it was as though a motor had been installed inside him. Xia Liu Yi lay facedown against the pillows, moaning loudly and without restraint. Beads of sweat emerged across his bare back, crisscrossed with old scars, then slid slowly downward with every movement of his body, gathering in the two delicate hollows at his lower back. His raised hips moved with He Chu San’s rhythm, the tight entrance gradually fucked slick, swollen, and obscene. The sight made He Chu San burn even hotter with desire, and his thrusts became increasingly fierce. In his daze, Xia Liu Yi felt as though that hard heat might split him in two. Unable to endure it any longer, he clutched the pillow and, for the first time, cried out for He Chu San to stop.

“Slow down… ah… little bastard… no more…”

He Chu San reached down to where their bodies were joined and came away with a slick hand. Sliding it forward, he fondled Xia Liu Yi’s balls and laughed in a tone that brooked no argument. “No more what? You’re enjoying yourself so much you’re dripping.”

That wetness was not Xia Liu Yi’s at all; it was the lubricant they had squeezed inside earlier. Furious and embarrassed, Xia Liu Yi cursed him incoherently several times in succession, only for the continued thrusting to knock the breath out of him. Waves of pleasure burst inside him like fireworks. Drenched in sweat, he could only bite down on the pillow and moan into it, trembling uncontrollably.

He Chu San turned him over, pressed him against the headboard, and entered him face-to-face. The nipples that had already been pinched swollen were caught between his lips and teeth and bitten and sucked hard. He deliberately refused to touch Xia Liu Yi’s fully erect cock, merely trapping it between their stomachs and grinding against it, while his hands kneaded hard at Xia Liu Yi’s lower back and ass. Each thrust felt as though it might drive straight into his stomach.

Being fucked with such unprecedented force and dominance made Xia Liu Yi’s entire body soften with heat, his scalp tingling. His fingers clawed at He Chu San’s shoulders and back. Though his mouth remained open, he could no longer form a single coherent sentence; all that escaped were broken, intermittent gasps.

After fucking him hard for a full round on the bed, He Chu San rested only briefly before carrying him to the sofa and seating Xia Liu Yi astride him, thrusting upward from below. Xia Liu Yi rode him, panting continuously, while He Chu San deliberately kept his thrusts shallow, striking his sensitive spot again and again.

He was teased until even his toes curled, his legs trembling too badly to support him, and he nearly slipped from the sofa.

“Stop, stop… A’San… A’San…”

He Chu San finally stopped. The sight of Xia Liu Yi staring dazedly at him and calling his name as he begged for mercy was so adorable that He Chu San nearly went mad with affection. Smiling, he kissed the sweat from Xia Liu Yi’s forehead.

Xia Liu Yi had no strength left to care about that wicked smile. He swallowed with difficulty; after panting so hard, his throat felt dry enough to smoke. “Are you… completely better now?”

“Of course.” He Chu San smiled faintly. “It’s been almost two weeks.”

Xia Liu Yi raised a trembling hand to feel He Chu San’s solid chest, then pinched the abdominal muscles at his waist, which seemed even more defined than before, and immediately became suspicious. Damn it, this kid is either sick or sitting in an office all day. Where the hell did he get this kind of strength?!

“Don’t underestimate me, Brother Liu Yi,” He Chu San said, seeing straight through him and sighing with feeling. “I really worked hard so I could fuck you.”

The hardships involved were truly difficult to put into words. On this very date the year before, when the two of them had properly slept together for the first time, that failed princess carry had dealt a devastating blow to He Chu San’s dignity as a top. From then on, determined to rid himself of the title of weakling and master all kinds of kinky positions, he gritted his teeth and devoted himself to building up his body. Practicing a little tai chi in his spare time was nowhere near enough to fulfill his ultimate ambition of devouring the Boss completely. Whenever he could squeeze out the time, he tried to go to the gym two or three times a week and jog for an hour every day. He even hid dumbbells, an ab wheel, push-up bars, and spare workout clothes in his office so he could train whenever work left him a spare moment. He ate egg whites and chicken breast until he groaned at the sight of them, gritting his teeth and enduring it all for the sake of finally pulling off his long-awaited ekiben position…

Xia Liu Yi raised a hand in embarrassed fury to smack him, only for He Chu San to wickedly thrust upward. The hand he had swung out immediately turned into an arm wrapped around He Chu San’s neck as he began gasping violently again.

After finally surviving that round, He Chu San still wanted to pick him up and try the ekiben position he had been plotting for so long. Xia Liu Yi was nearly reduced to tears. Over the past year, he had been injured twice in succession and was already physically weakened. Then the recent breakup and reconciliation had thrown his emotions into turmoil, leaving him too distracted to keep up his training, and his stamina had declined sharply. Today, He Chu San had come at him with frightening ferocity as well, leaving his entire body limp and his backside burning painfully. He genuinely could not take any more. In the end, he had no choice but to invoke the authority of the Boss and order He Chu San to put him down immediately and put A’Si away.

He Chu San remained unsatisfied. “You used to be able to go several more rounds…”

“You were never this vicious before!” Xia Liu Yi rasped angrily.

He Chu San giggled. “Are you complimenting my improvement, Brother Liu Yi?”

Xia Liu Yi could not tell whether the man before him was a continuously upgraded third-generation little bastard or whether this had always been his true nature, carefully concealed beneath Best Actor He’s performance. All he knew was that He Chu San now resembled an enormous fox king with a mouth full of fangs and a wicked smile, and if he did not resist, he was going to be torn apart and devoured.

“I really can’t!” Xia Liu Yi said. “I still have to go to the office tomorrow.”

“I’ll drive you there.”

“Damn it, are you planning to carry me into the office too?!”

“Why not—ow, ow, ow! That hurts! Don’t pull, don’t pull…”

Xia Liu Yi released him with an angry huff. He Chu San, forcibly demoted back into a first-generation weakling little bastard, rubbed his ear pitifully. “Brother Liu Yi, can we negotiate something?”

“What?”

“Next time, could you pinch the other side? I looked in the mirror and realized my right earlobe is already bigger than my left. Ow, ow, ow! I said next time! Next time…”

Five minutes later, He Chu San miserably covered two ears that were finally the same size again and obediently followed Xia Liu Yi into the bathroom to shower.

Xia Liu Yi refused to let him carry him and walked ahead by himself, every step making his waist and back ache while his legs felt weak.

He Chu San followed behind, staring until lust went straight to his head. A’Si was already swollen hard with arousal. Xia Liu Yi stepped beneath the shower and tiredly reached out to turn on the water when he suddenly felt a scorching gaze on his back. He turned around—and found He Chu San and the engorged A’Si staring helplessly at him together. Half angry and half amused, Xia Liu Yi asked, “You can get hard just from watching me walk?”

“Don’t worry about it.” He Chu San sighed helplessly and took the bath sponge from the rack, intending to wash Xia Liu Yi. Xia Liu Yi caught his hand instead. With another helpless sigh, he took the sponge from He Chu San and tossed it aside, then leaned over and kissed him.

He kissed his way down He Chu San’s jaw and neck, then over his chest, navel, and the hair below his abdomen until finally he knelt on the floor and took He Chu San into his mouth.

He Chu San panted excitedly, brows drawn together as he watched in fascination while Xia Liu Yi’s head moved up and down. His already hard cock swelled even further against Xia Liu Yi’s throat, forcing Xia Liu Yi to stop in discomfort, swallow, and then make another effort to take him deeper.

Xia Liu Yi sucked and stroked him clumsily, without any technique to speak of, but with extraordinary gentleness and wholehearted effort. Merely seeing him like this had already aroused He Chu San beyond measure. He threaded his fingers into Xia Liu Yi’s hair and desperately restrained the urge to grab the back of his head and force himself deeper, instead stroking the back of his head with painful restraint.

Before he came, He Chu San pulled himself free. With a rough, urgent groan, he came in streaks of white fluid across Xia Liu Yi’s face. Xia Liu Yi closed his eyes and endured it without dodging in the slightest.

Once He Chu San recovered, he crouched down without saying anything and hugged Xia Liu Yi tightly, burying his face against his shoulder.

Xia Liu Yi hugged him back and patted the top of his head. “Little bastard, satisfied now?”

He Chu San held him so tightly that the strength in his arms made Xia Liu Yi’s back ache. Only after a long while did he whisper, “Brother Liu Yi, I love you so much.”

“Mm.”

“I really love you.”

“Mm.”

“Don’t hate me. Don’t leave me.” Xia Liu Yi smiled and turned his head to kiss his reddened earlobe. “Silly boy. How could I?”

Xia Liu Yi woke in the faint light of dawn and, still squinting, reached toward the space beside him, only to catch He Chu San lying on his side and secretly staring at him. He pulled the quietly laughing He Chu San into his arms. “How long have you been awake?”

“Just woke up.”

“What are you looking at me for?”

“Looking at your… eye gunk.”

“Get lost!”

He Chu San laughed so hard his chest shook, then leaned over and kissed him. “No eye gunk, no eye gunk. You’re handsome no matter how you look. What do you want for breakfast?”

“Whatever.”

“All right. I’ll go make ‘whatever.’” He Chu San affectionately bit him twice more before reluctantly climbing out of bed.

Xia Liu Yi stretched his arms and legs beneath the blanket, still feeling soreness in his waist and back and a faint numb ache in his backside. Lazily rubbing his eyes, he discovered that there really was one extremely conspicuous lump of eye gunk.

“…”

Forget it. Handsome men are still human. What handsome man has never had eye gunk?

Xia Liu Yi took his time getting out of bed, shuffled into the bathroom in his slippers, washed up carefully, then came out for breakfast. He Chu San had made two large plates of “whatever”: fried eggs, French sausages, boiled potatoes, apples and tomatoes cut into small pieces, along with two glasses of milk. The two sat together and ate a warm, peaceful breakfast. Afterward, He Chu San tied Xia Liu Yi’s necktie, helped him into his coat, and finally saw him to the door.

“Did you notify Kevin? When is he coming to pick you up?” Xia Liu Yi asked as he fastened his cufflinks.

“He’ll be here soon,” He Chu San said. “I’m going to my own company today, and I have lunch with a client, so I won’t come find you at noon.”

“Mm.”

Xia Liu Yi turned toward the corridor, only for He Chu San to pull him back. He Chu San wrapped him tightly in his arms and kissed him. It was not a long kiss, and the sensation of being held so firmly vanished almost as quickly as it came.

“See you tonight.” He Chu San let him go and smiled.

Much later, whenever Xia Liu Yi remembered that moment, he remembered the reluctance hidden in He Chu San’s faint smile and the subtle trembling in his arms. He remembered the warmth that had lingered for so long at the corner of his lips when he woke that morning. He remembered the sadness hidden beneath He Chu San’s words, Don’t hate me. Don’t leave me. He remembered He Chu San’s unusually fierce passion that night, and the complicated expression in his eyes when he met Master Qiao’s gaze.

It was not that Xia Liu Yi had failed to notice the slightest sign. He simply had not been willing to let his suspicions turn toward He Chu San in the slightest. Not even the tiniest bit.

Everything that happened later that day remained vivid in his mind for years afterward, bright and distinct like the panels of a comic book—

That morning, he arrived at headquarters and joined Cui Dong Dong in the office to coordinate the day’s operation. According to plan, they had arranged five different transaction times and locations. Cui Dong Dong would separately take Qin Hao, Tiger Head, Black Chicken, Big Crab, and Snake Girl to each one, deliberately getting out of the car along the way under the pretense of answering a phone call so the undercover agent would have an opportunity to notify their handler of the time. Whoever behaved suspiciously that day, and whichever transaction time drew the police, would unquestionably reveal the mole among them.

However, before they could even make their first notification call, a bodyguard suddenly knocked on the door and brought Xiao Luo inside.

“Someone stuffed an envelope outside our front door,” Xiao Luo said. “I looked at what was inside and thought something was wrong, so I hurried over and brought it to you.”

Cui Dong Dong took the envelope in confusion and shook out a photograph. In a dimly lit corner of a disco, Qin Hao and Xie Jia Hua were sitting at the same table, drinking and talking.

An icy chill shot from Xia Liu Yi’s spine straight down to his feet. He froze where he stood, speechless.

Cui Dong Dong was even more shocked. “Who delivered this?!”

“They rang the doorbell and ran,” Xiao Luo said. “I didn’t see so much as a shadow.”

Xia Liu Yi snatched the photograph and rushed for the door, intending to find Qin Hao and confront him personally. Yet the instant he stepped into the corridor, a piercing alarm suddenly began shrieking.

“What happened?!” he demanded of the bodyguards running toward him in panic.

A’Nan, running at the front, hurriedly grabbed him and pushed him toward the emergency stairwell. “The cops are here! They’re here to arrest you and Boss Dong Dong!”

A large police force led by Xie Jia Hua had surrounded headquarters and produced search and arrest warrants. Xia Liu Yi, Cui Dong Dong, Xiao Luo, A’Nan, and A’Mao fled through the emergency stairwell into the secret basement beneath the building, then escaped through the underground passage connected to it, fleeing the heavily surrounded headquarters out of breath and in utter disarray.

On the way, they received calls from their subordinates informing them that every company under Xiao Qi Hall—even the private businesses owned by Xia Liu Yi and Cui Dong Dong—had simultaneously been sealed off and searched by the police.

“It’s Qin Hao!” Cui Dong Dong told him. “He must have stolen some crucial evidence! I need to get to the Finance Room immediately and destroy the old records! You go to the safe house at the docks first. I’ll meet you there later!”

Xia Liu Yi thought of the Dragon Head ledger hidden at Azure Dragon’s villa. That villa was also one of the properties under his own name. The police would search it sooner or later, and there was no telling whether they might find the ledger hidden inside the sofa.

“I have something to deal with too,” Xia Liu Yi told Cui Dong Dong. “We’ll split up. Meet at the safe house.”

Both of them firmly believed Qin Hao was behind everything—that Qin Hao, the mole, had realized his identity was about to be exposed and therefore notified the police to close the net. Sitting in the back seat of the car, Xia Liu Yi replayed scene after scene from his time with Qin Hao, remembering how strongly he had defended his trust in him only the day before. An uncontrollable mixture of grief and fury churned inside him.

Traffic was congested in broad daylight. The car repeatedly cut through side streets, overtook other vehicles, ran red lights, and weaved aggressively through traffic until it entered Kowloon City.

A’Nan’s phone rang just then. He hurriedly answered, exchanged a few words, then hung up and said nervously, “Boss, Kevin says Mr. He suddenly coughed up blood and fainted at the office. They’ve already taken him to the hospital.”

It felt as though an enormous boulder had exploded beside Xia Liu Yi’s ears. He looked up and saw a fork at the end of the road: the left road led toward the seaside villa, while the right led to Kau City Hospital.

Black memories reeking of blood engulfed him—

“Nothing vital was hit! They’ve already taken him to the hospital!”

“She… after she stabbed the Boss, she jumped from the roof of the villa…”

Four years ago, on that very night, at this very fork in the road, he had chosen the direction he would regret for the rest of his life. He had seen the broken body beside the swimming pool and the eyes on the hospital bed that would never close. He had failed to keep either of them.

The nerves at the back of his neck began jumping violently, his heartbeat thundering beside his ears. Terror enveloped him like a collapsing mountain and roaring sea, robbing him of his voice in an instant. “Go… go…”

A’Mao, who was driving, did not hear him. “Boss, where?”

“To… to the hospital! The hospital!!” Xia Liu Yi screamed himself hoarse. “Give me the phone! Call Dong Dong!”

The car swung onto the road to the right and sped toward Kau City Hospital. A’Nan hurriedly dialed Cui Dong Dong’s backup number, and Xia Liu Yi grabbed the brick phone. “Where are you? Are you safe?”

“I’m already at the Finance Room. The cops haven’t found this place.” The sound of gasoline splashing around came through from Cui Dong Dong’s end of the line. “I’ll be done in a minute. What happened?”

“Something happened to A’San. I’m going to the hospital.” Xia Liu Yi desperately suppressed the trembling of his hand so the brick phone would not slip from his grip. “Go get the ledger immediately. Move it if you can. If you can’t, burn it.”

“All right, I understand,” Cui Dong Dong replied quickly. “What happened to A’San?”

“He suddenly fainted, and they said he vomited blood! How could he suddenly vomit blood when he was perfectly fine?” Xia Liu Yi’s voice trembled. He sounded like an anxious, out-of-control child reaching toward his family for help. Azure Dragon was gone, Xiao Man was gone, and even Xiao Ma was gone. Cui Dong Dong truly was the only family he had left in the world.

“Don’t panic,” Cui Dong Dong soothed him. “Maybe he’s only exhausted. He’ll be fine. Leave the ledger to me. You make sure you stay safe.”

Xia Liu Yi struggled to control his breathing. “All right. You too.”

He reached the hospital, burst out of the elevator, and ran toward He Chu San’s room. Kevin and several bodyguards were stationed outside the door and beside the bed. They stepped aside to let him through. The moment Xia Liu Yi saw He Chu San lying there, he rushed over and touched his cold face, then felt his forehead.

“What happened to him? What’s wrong with him?” Xia Liu Yi demanded anxiously. “A’San? A’San!”

He Chu San opened his eyes, his dark pupils deep as the sea. A chill touched the back of Xia Liu Yi’s shoulder as a syringe slid in.

Xia Liu Yi opened his mouth but could not make a sound. He offered no resistance whatsoever and slowly collapsed into He Chu San’s arms.

Even in the final moments before he completely lost consciousness, Xia Liu Yi did not blame He Chu San in the slightest, nor did he believe He Chu San would ever do anything to hurt him. He simply could not understand the look in He Chu San’s eyes. He just did not understand why.

The bone-deep cold and endless darkness became the final page of that comic book.

“Don’t underestimate me, Brother Liu Yi,” He Chu San said, his voice laced with a hint of exasperation. “To hell with you, I’ve worked very hard indeed.”

For this part isn’t it, ‘To f- you, I’ve worked very hard indeed’?
