Yu Tai’s Challenge NO.4
In the cafeteria, everyone stared eagerly at Yu Tai. Zhou Xin He pushed her lunchbox toward Zhi Li. “This is a new dish I tried making. Please see if it suits your taste.” Zhi Li picked up his chopsticks and glanced at Yu Tai. “Wait until I finish eating before you start sniffing.” Ke Bu looked at Zhi Li, unable to hold himself back anymore. “What’s with Su You Yan’s notebook?!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” How could Zhi Li’s expression be so clear and innocent? But Ke Bu wasn’t going to fall for it anymore.
“Don’t try to hide it from me. We all saw it—that black-and-red notebook, right?” Ke Bu asked Ying Xiu Jie. Ying Xiu Jie, his face still swollen red from being slapped earlier, stared blankly at Ke Bu. “What notebook? There’s something like that?” He was actually pretending to be dumb!! Ke Bu turned to Yu Tai, who also stared blankly back at him. “Why are you asking me? I wasn’t even with you today.” Another idiot. He asked Gong Zhu, who likewise looked at him blankly. “Maybe we were looking at different dimensions, and you started hallucinating.” Fine then, he’d ask Zhou Xin He. She was the least capable of lying. Zhou Xin He truly didn’t lie—she simply ignored Ke Bu entirely. “How does it taste?”
Ke Bu slammed the table. “How could you do this to me? I’m your—” But considering Ke Bu had stolen Zhi Li’s books and scribbled all over them, he didn’t exactly have the standing to say that. Zhi Li looked at Ke Bu. “You’re my what?” Damn it. He’d trapped himself.
“You’re my classmate.” There was no way he could say it in front of so many people.
“What?”
“You’re my friend.”
“What?”
“You’re the boyfriend I like…” Ke Bu gave up and forced it out.
“What?”
That still wasn’t enough?! Ke Bu corrected himself, “You’re my favorite boyfriend.” He could already imagine how red his face was. Meanwhile, Zhi Li still wore the same calm expression, which made Ke Bu feel awkward. He’d already said all that—shouldn’t Zhi Li at least look happy? Could his words really not stir him at all? Or was he just that lacking in charm? Zhi Li turned toward Su You Yan. “You Yan, subtract one point.” Su You Yan took out the notebook and crossed off one point from Ke Bu’s record. Apparently, Ke Bu’s confession had pleased Zhi Li quite a bit. Seeing the emperor in good spirits, Yu Tai hurried to follow along. “Zhi Li, you’re my favorite friend too.”
“You Yan, add one point.” Su You Yan added another point beside Yu Tai’s name.
“So it is a notebook!!” Ke Bu pointed furiously at it. Wait, why had he insisted on blurting it out? He obviously could’ve stayed quiet. After all the chaos, Yu Tai finally began his challenge. Sweat visibly dripped from his forehead as he tremblingly pulled out the sanitary pad he’d prepared in advance, stained heavily with red ink. He looked left and right repeatedly, making sure no one was watching. Ying Xiu Jie banged a spoon against a stainless-steel bowl. “Everyone, look over here! Come take a look! Free of charge, no effort required, come on over~~~” His shouting echoed through the cafeteria, instantly drawing everyone’s attention. Yu Tai glared resentfully at Ying Xiu Jie as, under the gaze of the entire cafeteria, he pressed the sanitary pad against his nose.
“Sniff harder. That wasn’t enough effort.”
Yu Tai inhaled deeply. The others waved encouragingly, and Yu Tai forced out a look of intoxicated bliss. Closing his eyes as though spiritually fulfilled, he shouted dramatically, “Ah~~ what is this? A legendary sanitary pad? It smells so good! How can it smell this good?!” Having already forgotten half the script from nervousness, Yu Tai even improvised extra lines. Every single student in the cafeteria—including the lunch ladies—stared at him like he was a complete pervert.
“We should probably stay away from Yu Tai for a while. Otherwise people might think we’re the same kind of freak.”
Su You Yan’s Challenge NO.5
A truly rare sight was finally about to appear—that Su You Yan. Everyone crouched outside the classroom door with pure vengeance in their hearts, phones raised to record everything. At this point, the entire group had already skipped countless classes today. Su You Yan had returned to the dorm at noon and changed into a cute outfit. Pink, no less. She looked beautiful, undeniably beautiful—but it suited her way too poorly!! Devils weren’t supposed to wear pink! The classroom was silent except for the teacher lecturing and the scratching of pens on paper. Suddenly, Su You Yan stood up and glanced toward the people outside the classroom. Anyone could tell from her expression that she wanted to murder them.
“Student Su You Yan, is something wrong?” the teacher asked. Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Su You Yan suddenly began dancing. She even spun around the classroom, tossing her hair dramatically. Outside the classroom, the others laughed so hard they clutched their stomachs. “Hahaha, look at her! She looks completely insane!” Ying Xiu Jie pressed play on his phone and shoved it through the classroom window. Music suddenly blasted through the room:
“Who’s naughty? I’m naturally kind and cute!
Who’s naughty? You’re always saying I love causing trouble!
I’m the good one! Love comes and goes so fast!
You’re naughty! Getting angry is bad for your health!
Who’s naughty? I’m naturally kind and cute!
Who’s naughty? You’re young, of course you’ll act wild!
I’m the good one! Don’t interrupt my romance!
Who’s naughty? Didn’t you say you’d give me love?
Didn’t you say you’d give me love?!
Oh no, oh no, run! It’s him, it’s him! Hey yo, hey yo!
Oh no, oh no, run! It’s him, it’s him! Hey yo, hey yo!”
Outside, Yu Tai and Ke Bu pinched their noses and changed their voices while heckling her. “Stick your butt out more! Be cuter!”
“You Yan, I know you’re the best behaved! Hey yo, hey yo!”
When the music finally stopped, Su You Yan expressionlessly returned to her seat as though absolutely nothing had happened. The teacher finally recovered from his shock and swallowed nervously. “A-Are you done dancing? W-Were we supposed to applaud?” Everyone knew Su You Yan was the chancellor’s daughter. Though the teacher clearly couldn’t comprehend what had just happened, reality forced him to cooperate. Under his lead, the entire class burst into applause. Outside the classroom, the others were laughing so hard they couldn’t straighten up. “Su You Yan, you totally want to die now, don’t you?! Hahaha!”
Ke Bu’s Challenge NO.6
Saying he wasn’t nervous would be a lie. Pulling up a teacher’s skirt could easily earn him a disciplinary mark. Even though it was winter, more and more women still wore skirts in cold weather these days. Today their homeroom teacher wore a thin skirt with thick tights underneath. Maybe he could pretend it was an accident and casually brush against her skirt? While the homeroom teacher stood outside the classroom answering a question from Yu Tai, Ke Bu walked over and lightly grabbed the edge of her skirt. The teacher immediately turned her head sharply, staring at Ke Bu’s hand. “Is there something you need, Ke Bu?”
“Yo, nice skirt. Where’d you buy it?” Ke Bu hurriedly let go. The teacher looked at him strangely. “Why? Planning to buy one to wear yourself? It’s pretty cheap.”
“Hahaha, what are you talking about? Well then, I won’t disturb you anymore.” Ke Bu fled in panic. He went off and bought one of those extendable knitted hats, cutting two eyeholes into it and pulling it over his head. Surely no one would recognize him now, right? Though honestly, walking around campus dressed like a robber only attracted more attention. The others continued egging him on from behind. Ke Bu rubbed his hands together, waited until the homeroom teacher returned toward the office, then charged forward. The instant he yanked the skirt upward, he squeezed his eyes shut. His heart pounded wildly—had he succeeded? Had he actually lifted it? He only focused on running, but after barely getting any distance, he slammed straight into someone.
“What are you holding there, Ke Bu?” The person before him was none other than Zhi Li!
“You can still recognize me like this?!” Even with a full face covering, Zhi Li still identified him instantly. Apparently, crime was no longer an option in Ke Bu’s future—if Zhi Li could identify him even after he turned to ashes, there was no hope. Wait, that wasn’t the important part right now. Zhi Li had called out his name? What was in his hand? Ke Bu looked down and immediately felt his legs go weak. In his hand, fluttering proudly in the wind, was the teacher’s skirt itself.
Ke Bu slowly turned around, removed the mask, and calmly faced the homeroom teacher behind him. He held the skirt out toward her. “Teacher, you really shouldn’t buy such cheap skirts anymore. I just ran past and it blew right off!!” The homeroom teacher glared at him. “It’d better be exactly like that.” Apparently, she had no intention of pursuing something this humiliating. After lecturing Ke Bu thoroughly, she let him go. Ke Bu’s mood remained completely unaffected. At this point, what couldpossibly affect him anymore? Next came the moment he’d been eagerly waiting for.
Zhi Li’s Boss Challenge
The group crouched excitedly in a dark corner, taking bets.
“Do you think he’ll chicken out at the last second?”
“When have you ever seen him run away from anything? Besides, all of us completed our challenges. If he suddenly refuses to participate, we’ll collectively despise him for being useless.”
“Can we really do that?”
“One of us alone probably can’t beat him, but I refuse to believe an entire rebellion wouldn’t work. Xiu Jie’s strong too. Together we can definitely take him—and besides, he doesn’t just randomly undergo dark transformations anymore.” Even Yu Tai himself sounded unconvinced as he said it, finally forcing out a dry laugh. “Anyway, under everyone’s expectations, there’s absolutely no way he’ll back down. Let’s just wait for the chancellor to scold him into oblivion.”
Meanwhile, Zhi Li stood together with Su You Yan, who had already changed back into her normal clothes.
“You Yan, go lay the groundwork.”
“Understood.” Su You Yan went first to Chancellor Su Hao’s office. The chancellor sat inside—a stern middle-aged man carrying both dignity and handsomeness. Just as the rumors claimed, he was exceptionally strict. But there was one exception: the daughter he had personally raised. Since his wife had died young, he doted on Su You Yan excessively, to the point of almost having a daughter complex. In his eyes, Su You Yan was still his little princess who had never grown up. When Chancellor Su saw her enter, his hand paused mid-grading. “Xiao Yan, what’s wrong?”
“Please stop calling Zhi Li into your office from now on.”
“Why? Dad thinks he’s unsuitable as your friend. I’m only doing this for your own good.”
Su You Yan gave a bitter smile. “Please stop saying that, Dad. I’ve heard it too many times already. This time, no. Zhi Li is the one person I absolutely won’t let go of. No matter what he says or what he wants to do, I’ll support him. Dad, you won’t understand.”
“You—don’t tell me you’ve fallen for him?!” Su Hao had never mentally prepared himself for the possibility of his daughter liking another man. In his mind, she was still his little girl. Had she already reached that age? Su You Yan lowered her head. Though she never verbally admitted it, her expression gave everything away. “Dad, could you please stop interfering in my personal life? I’m going back to class.” Leaving the stunned Su Hao behind, Su You Yan walked out and shut the door, then sent a text message: “Groundwork complete.” Zhi Li looked at the message on his phone and lifted his eyes toward the ceiling.
Su You Yan understood. She understood very clearly. Zhi Li was only doing this to give her courage. Though the lie existed only within the word “love,” he had still given her the opportunity and courage to finally say everything to Su Hao clearly. Something she’d never dared resist all these years had finally been spoken aloud because of a joke-like challenge.
Ying Xiu Jie and Yu Tai urged Zhi Li onward. “Your turn now. Though if you back out at this point, I definitely won’t laugh at you, mock you, or think you’re pathetic.” Zhi Li stood up and slipped his hands into his pockets. “Prepare the money.” Ke Bu walked beside him. “Don’t push yourself too hard. You can call me to save you too, you know. I’ll count it as repaying one favor.”
“Are you worried about me?”
“Absolutely not. I’m dying to watch you embarrass yourself.” Ke Bu suddenly headbutted Zhi Li’s back. “Alright, maybe a little. Just a little. Since you’re my… my favorite. Go on already.”
“You bet on me losing, didn’t you?” Zhi Li ruined the atmosphere instantly.
“Hahaha~~ what are you even talking about? Gambling? W-What gambling?” Worrying about him was one thing. Betting against him was another entirely. Zhi Li walked toward the chancellor’s office while the others cheered behind him as though sending someone into battle. “Go, Zhi Li! Charge! Good luck!” At last, the oppressed peasants could finally vent their resentment. The grudges of the past flashed vividly before their eyes. Zhi Li knocked on the door. The chancellor came out, and Zhi Li expressionlessly said, “Chancellor, please kiss the back of my hand.”
The chancellor’s eyebrows twitched upward in fury. “What exactly are you talking about?”
Then Zhi Li leaned forward and whispered a single sentence into the chancellor’s ear. The chancellor’s face shifted from green to pale white—first furious, then hesitant. Finally, he actually lowered his head and kissed the back of Zhi Li’s raised hand. How was that possible?! What did he say?! The others stared in complete disbelief. What even was this world anymore? Something this absurd had actually happened!
The moment they returned to the classroom, Ke Bu impatiently demanded, “What exactly did you say to the chancellor?”
“I only asked him a question.”
“What question?”
Zhi Li shrugged casually. “I asked whether he valued his daughter’s chastity.”
Everyone sucked in a cold breath. To a father, that was the most severe threat imaginable!! This man was absolutely Satan. Absolutely!!
As the clock struck midnight, this group finally lived up to expectations and officially became the most perverted group imaginable: betraying teammates, toying with classmates, harassing teachers, deceiving parents, threatening the chancellor. Truly, what an evil group of people.
