“I willingly let people bully me because there was never any reason for me to fight back. No matter how you people saw me or treated me, it had nothing to do with me. But Zhi Li is different. Anyone who dares touch Zhi Li is unacceptable. Ever since he told me to follow him, he became the only thing I wanted to protect.”
Su You Yan removed her glasses and tied up her hair, revealing the scar on her face. Ke Bu froze in shock, but even more than shock, he felt heartache. He understood very clearly Su You Yan’s feelings toward Zhi Li. Zhi Li’s appearance had become the embodiment of the remaining beauty she still believed existed in this world. Sometimes Ke Bu felt that Su You Yan was very simple-minded, stubbornly protecting that tiny bit of warmth inside herself.
Zhi Li examined Su You Yan’s face. “You Yan, you became prettier today.”
Ke Bu rolled his eyes. Sometimes this guy’s mouth was unexpectedly sweet. Why had he not thought of using lines like that? What a huge mistake. Next month’s exam still depended on You Yan secretly stealing some answers for him! Ke Bu’s practical nature was fully exposed.
Su You Yan smiled. It was the first time Ke Bu had ever seen Su You Yan smile. It was beautiful and dazzling.
Ke Bu suddenly realized the glasses in his hand had no lenses. “You Yan, aren’t you nearsighted?”
“Zhi Li said glasses suited a secretary better.”
“Why are you cooperating with his stupid hobbies?!”
Qiu Shui had grown bored waiting and covered her mouth while yawning. “You suddenly became so talkative. How annoying. I hate annoying women the most.”
As soon as she finished speaking, her high heel kicked toward Su You Yan. Su You Yan stepped backward, the sharp heel barely grazing her face.
“What a coincidence. So do I.”
Su You Yan spun around, her ponytail whipping toward Qiu Shui and striking her eyes. Qiu Shui covered her eyes, and Su You Yan immediately slapped her across the face. A crisp smack rang out.
“This slap is to help you remember the consequences of touching my hair carelessly.”
“Bitch.” Qiu Shui cursed viciously.
Qiu Shui kicked at Su You Yan again, but Su You Yan dodged it. Qiu Shui followed with a spinning kick. It seemed Qiu Shui specialized in leg techniques. Su You Yan was grazed slightly. Looking down at the dirtied clothes, she saw Qiu Shui getting increasingly excited. Qiu Shui kicked off her high heels and aimed directly at Su You Yan’s legs.
Su You Yan spread her legs apart, trapping Qiu Shui’s leg between them and clamping down tightly. One hand seized Qiu Shui’s wrist while the other delivered another slap.
“This slap is to help you remember not to spew vulgar insults carelessly.”
Qiu Shui braced herself against the floor and kicked upward with her free leg. Su You Yan released her and stepped back.
Ke Bu stared with his mouth hanging open, chills running down his spine. Suddenly he remembered once pinning Su You Yan against a wall outside the gymnasium while threatening to stab her on the spot. He swallowed nervously.
“You already knew You Yan was this strong?”
“She’s the one responsible for training Hao Yu and Xiu Jie,” Zhi Li answered lazily.
“What?! You should’ve told me something like that earlier!! I-I almost…”
Ke Bu did not dare finish the sentence. Originally, he had thought that if You Yan refused to steal exam answers for him, he would teach her a lesson himself! Thankfully, he suddenly felt grateful to Qiu Shui for saving his life through her own injuries.
Ke Bu truly was not a good person. His heart was unbelievably dark.
Sweat soaked through Qiu Shui’s hair as she stared at Su You Yan in disbelief. This was the same Su You Yan she had bullied mercilessly in the past.
Without warning, Su You Yan circled behind Qiu Shui, one arm locking around her neck while the other covered her face. Curling her fingers slightly, her nails lightly brushed Qiu Shui’s cheek.
“This is your return gift.”
Qiu Shui screamed loudly. “No! No~~ I was wrong! Please don’t!”
There was no dignity left in her at all. Su You Yan released her, and Qiu Shui collapsed weakly to the floor as if liberated from death itself.
Xue Fang shot Qiu Shui a reproachful look, and Qiu Shui lowered her head.
Xue Fang walked toward Zhi Li and extended his hand, only for Zhi Li to slap it away.
“I don’t shake hands.”
Ke Bu’s eyes widened. The hand he had struggled desperately to block earlier had just been casually knocked aside by Zhi Li.
Even Xue Fang looked surprised.
His hand twisted into the shape of a tiger claw as he lunged for Zhi Li. Zhi Li shifted left, and Xue Fang’s claw struck the desk instead, leaving deep marks behind.
Zhi Li glanced at the desk while icy coldness radiated from Xue Fang’s eyes. Xue Fang attacked again, but Zhi Li grabbed his wrist. Xue Fang forcefully broke free, then kicked toward Zhi Li. Zhi Li raised his leg and kicked Xue Fang’s leg back. One attack had barely been defended when Xue Fang’s claw shot toward his face with lightning speed. Zhi Li blocked with his arm, stepped back once, and shook out his hand.
Xue Fang gave him no opportunity to counterattack and lunged forward. Zhi Li seized his collar, leaned backward, used the momentum against him, and threw Xue Fang behind him. A bookshelf crashed to the ground.
Everything happened so fast that Ke Bu’s eyes could barely keep up. Zhi Li had actually been scratched by Xue Fang just now. Something felt strange. Those few moves should not have consumed much stamina. Had Zhi Li done something before coming here?
Then again, it made sense that Zhi Li looked somewhat tired. First he had been forcibly summoned by the chancellor and lectured for several hours, then he had gone to the Taekwondo Club afterward.
Xue Fang raised his leg in a side kick. Zhi Li bent low to dodge the kick aimed at his head while simultaneously sweeping Xue Fang’s supporting leg. Xue Fang lost his balance, but just before falling, he planted a hand on the floor and pushed himself upright again. Rolling his neck and rubbing his shoulders, he looked completely ready for battle.
“You really do have some skills.”
Ke Bu felt worried about Zhi Li. Watching the seconds tick by, even though Zhi Li had the upper hand, if this leisurely fight dragged on much longer they would miss dorm curfew!!
Think. Think of something.
Why did Zhi Li undergo dark transformations? Because hot weather made him irritable. So it wasn’t actually the heat itself—it was the irritation causing the dark transformation. Then…
Suddenly inspired, Ke Bu shouted loudly:
“Zhi Li, earlier… I lied to you. Actually…”
His voice choked as though he could not continue.
“I was violated by that beast Xue Fang. H-he… I-I-I…”
To make himself sound even more tragic, he deliberately added several extra “I”s.
“What nonsense are you spouting?!” Xue Fang roared at Ke Bu.
“So now you’re trying to deny it?”
Zhi Li stood perfectly still while Ke Bu continued dramatically:
“He roughly touched me with his hands, roughly violated me with his mouth, roughly rubbed against me with his legs, and even forced me to look at-that thing.”
“Shut your mouth.” Xue Fang finally snapped.
He never noticed Zhi Li behind him.
It was as if black ink had been splashed around Zhi Li. Su You Yan and Ke Bu both retreated instinctively. Qiu Shui could only point behind Xue Fang silently, unable to make a sound.
Just as Xue Fang turned his head, a fist smashed into the left side of his face.
Xue Fang swung his arm, only for Zhi Li to grab it.
“This hand, right?”
Zhi Li bent Xue Fang’s fingers backward forcefully. Xue Fang grimaced in pain. Then Zhi Li kicked the back of his knee from behind.
“This leg, right?”
Xue Fang dropped to one knee.
Zhi Li threw Xue Fang to the floor. Just as Xue Fang tried to rise, Zhi Li stomped viciously on his crotch. Leaning down, Zhi Li gripped Xue Fang’s jaw.
“This mouth, right? You Yan.”
Xue Fang’s eyes widened. He had never in his life been so completely suppressed and unable to move. Where did this terrifying strength come from in such a lean man?
Su You Yan tossed over a hardcover book. Zhi Li jammed the corner of the book into Xue Fang’s mouth and viciously forced it downward.
At that moment, the others came upstairs after tying up He Da Shan.
Ying Xiu Jie looked around. “Where’s the president? I’m gonna beat him up.”
“The one being force-fed a book is the president.”
Everyone stared at Zhi Li in horror.
“Who caused this?”
“Ke Bu,” Su You Yan sold him out instantly.
Everyone immediately began condemning him.
“Didn’t you know that once he undergoes a dark transformation, he can’t tell friend from foe anymore?!”
Only then did Ke Bu suddenly realize the gravity of the situation.
“Crap!! I forgot about that! If I’d known, I would’ve just let him fight slowly.”
Actually, Ke Bu’s original intention had simply been to finish things quickly so Zhi Li could return to the dorm and rest sooner.
Zhi Li grabbed Xue Fang by the hair and dragged him over to Chu Hao Yu.
“You bastard. You forced him to look at your thing too? Then you should take a good long look yourself.”
With that, he yanked down Chu Hao Yu’s pants and shoved Xue Fang’s face toward him.
Both Xue Fang and Chu Hao Yu tried desperately to flee.
“Try moving again and see what happens.”
Chu Hao Yu looked at Ke Bu with unbearable sorrow in his eyes.
“Do you understand now? This is why I hate you.”
After all the chaos, everyone dragged the Taekwondo Club members outside the library, preparing to toss them beside the garbage bins. They also took photographs from every possible angle using their phones.
Zhi Li walked toward Ke Bu.
Ke Bu immediately backed away repeatedly.
“Listen to me, I lied earlier. Who knew your possessiveness was this terrifying? Ahaha… I really didn’t expect it…”
“I know,” Zhi Li replied coldly.
“You knew and still…”
Zhi Li pinched Ke Bu’s chin.
“Even knowing, I still mind it. Remember this carefully: if you ever use that method again or say things like that again, I’ll roughly touch you with my hands, roughly violate you with my mouth, and roughly rub against you with my legs until you die. Understood?”
“U-Understood.”
“I’m someone who clearly distinguishes rewards from punishments.”
“How am I supposed to continue after you suddenly say something like that, Lord Zhi Li?”
“This… is your reward for earlier.”
The moment Zhi Li finished speaking, he grabbed Ke Bu’s collar, pulled him close, and kissed him.
Ke Bu’s eyes widened.
A reward for earlier?
Did he mean those things Ke Bu had shouted at Xue Fang? He heard them?
Zhi Li’s kiss carried the scent of milk as it invaded Ke Bu completely.
It tasted soft and sweet.
