Ke Bu thought about many things after hearing the homeroom teacher’s words, and the matter of the chancellor calling Zhi Li away also bothered him somewhat. When he returned to the pavilion, he saw Gong Zhu and Zhou Xin He holding back the violently enraged Ying Xiu Jie.
“What are you guys doing?”
“Someone from the Taekwondo Club just delivered a message telling Zhi Li to go to the library tonight. I’m going to beat them to death.” Unexpectedly, Ke Bu did not stop him.
“Yeah, since there’s no hope from the teachers, we can only go beat them to death.”
Chu Hao Yu agreed as well. Standing up and stretching his body, he said, “Looks like I’m good to go. Xin He, change into a cheerleader outfit and cheer for me.”
“Count me in.” Gong Zhu joined.
“I-I want to go too.” Zhou Xin He joined as well. Su You Yan stood up.
“You Yan, where are you going?”
“I have something to do. You guys…” Su You Yan paused. “Try not to die.”
“The way you talk is way too ominous!!!”
After everyone returned to prepare themselves, they gathered in front of the library. Gong Zhu was dressed stunningly.
“I mean, are you here for a beauty pageant or something?”
Gong Zhu simply smiled without saying much. In truth, Ke Bu was secretly calculating things in his heart. Their group was practically a bunch of wounded soldiers at this point, so their chances of winning really were not high.
Not long after entering the library, someone was already waiting there.
“I’ve been waiting a long time. I’m He Xiao Shan from the Taekwondo Club.”
The group huddled together to discuss.
“Wasn’t there only supposed to be four people? Why is there another He Xiao Shan? The guy guarding the entrance should be the weakest fighter inside. Let’s all jump him together.”
“No way. If word got out, how would we face anyone again? How would we still call ourselves men?”
“Then I’ll do it.” Ke Bu volunteered himself. Picking the weakest-looking opponent would definitely give him better odds.
“Leave this one to me. I can tell from his eyes that he’s different.” Gong Zhu sounded full of confidence.
He Xiao Shan was not in any hurry. He patiently waited for them to finish discussing things. After all, he had been personally trained by his older brother He Da Shan and had even represented the university in competitions before.
Gong Zhu walked over and turned back affectionately. “Don’t tell Lord Zhi Li about this. I’m enduring humiliation and hardship all for his sake.”
Standing before He Xiao Shan in his stylish clothes paired with his beautiful face, Gong Zhu suddenly cried out delicately, “Ahh~~~” as he slipped toward He Xiao Shan. He Xiao Shan quickly caught him in his arms. Gong Zhu’s face flushed red. “Th-thank you.”
He Xiao Shan blushed a little too. “It’s fine. Are you hurt?”
So Gong Zhu could tell his eyes were unusual because he liked men!!
“I’m fine. What about you?” Gong Zhu’s little face practically glowed as he looked heartbreakingly pitiful. The top-tier shou soul-stealing technique had appeared. “Could it be… Xiao Shan wants to hit me?”
“I-I’m just listening to my brother.”
“I see. To someone like me, I’m just a stranger after all. Of course your brother is more important than me, right?” His large eyes blinked innocently.
“I…”
Gong Zhu pressed a finger gently against He Xiao Shan’s lips. “Don’t speak. Close your eyes. Just for a moment. Let us enjoy this fleeting instant. We’re just like Romeo and Juliet, destined never to be together.”
Ke Bu’s legs nearly gave out as he whispered to Ying Xiu Jie and Chu Hao Yu, “What do we do? I think I’m gonna throw up.”
“Same here.”
He Xiao Shan closed his eyes affectionately. Gong Zhu quietly stepped back, took a deep breath, then viciously slammed his knee straight into He Xiao Shan’s crotch like a madman. Once, twice, three times, four times, five times. Even Ke Bu felt phantom pain in his own little brother.
Only after He Xiao Shan collapsed onto the ground in agony, curling up from the pain, did Gong Zhu finally stop. He even kicked him twice afterward to vent his anger.
“Tell those Taekwondo Club bastards this: I do like men. I do like getting fucked by men. But not just any man gets to fuck me. Compared to me, you people are way more disgusting.”
Even a top-tier shou could not be underestimated.
The group continued deeper inside.
“Hello.” A foreign student with dark skin appeared before them.
“My name is Did.”
“D~~id? D my ass.” Ke Bu cursed outright. Today’s events had already pushed him to his breaking point. Since he was probably getting a major demerit anyway, he might as well go all out.
Chu Hao Yu stopped Ke Bu. “Leave the dark-skinned guy to me.”
The moment Chu Hao Yu stepped forward, he was punched directly in the face. Covering his face in pain, the handsome features he prized so much were now ruined.
“Hey, what kind of reaction was that? You weren’t even faster than when you usually eat shit,” Ke Bu said.
“Yeah, are you even a man?” Ying Xiu Jie added.
And yet his own teammates were all heartless bastards.
“I didn’t even say start yet. You guys really don’t respect the rules.”
“Sorry. Are you ready?”
Chu Hao Yu made an OK gesture, but after only a brief exchange, he was kicked backward again.
“You should just go home,” Ke Bu comforted him.
“What can I do? He’s really strong. If it were an ordinary person, I’d have flattened him already.”
“U-Um, Hao Yu…” Zhou Xin He called out softly.
Everyone turned around only to see Zhou Xin He removing her outer clothing. Beneath it was a blue cheerleader uniform that exposed her cleavage, navel, and thighs. Using both hands to shyly cover herself slightly, she looked at Chu Hao Yu.
“Is… this okay?”
Ke Bu swore he could see blazing flames ignite behind Chu Hao Yu like he had suddenly resurrected from the dead.
“Yo, bro, see this? My cosmos is burning. Let’s go again!”
Chu Hao Yu’s speed increased dramatically as he charged forward. His left leg swept horizontally, but the dark-skinned student jumped away. Before he could react, Chu Hao Yu grabbed his collar and yanked him forward. The incoming punch was dodged, and Chu Hao Yu smashed his forehead hard into the other man’s head. As the dark-skinned student staggered backward, Chu Hao Yu grabbed him again, headbutting him a second time before locking an arm around his neck. Planting his leg behind the other man’s leg, he slammed him to the floor.
“Never underestimate the power of boobs. I fell because of boobs, and I rose again because of boobs. Also, in China, speak Chinese.”
Chu Hao Yu delivered his line stylishly. Everyone rushed over together and tied the dark-skinned student up with rope. There truly was strength in numbers.
Before they had gone much farther, Ying Xiu Jie was suddenly kicked flying into the distance. He dropped to one knee beside a table while clutching his stomach. He Da Shan cracked his knuckles.
“Haven’t you had enough of a beating? Coming here now won’t change anything. I’ll ask you one last time. Are you joining me or not?”
“Do you know why I was chosen to join this group in the first place?” Ying Xiu Jie’s voice deepened as he slowly stood up. Removing his shirt, he wrapped white bandages around his fists. “When Zhi Li fought me in an honorable duel between real men, and even after defeating me still sincerely invited me into the group, I knew then that he was the kind of man worth following.”
Though honestly, the image Ying Xiu Jie described was very different from the reality Ke Bu had witnessed. In reality, Ying Xiu Jie had simply been unlucky enough to run into Zhi Li during one of his dark transformations, gotten dragged into a bathroom and beaten up, then been pinned under Zhi Li’s foot and forced into joining the group.
“You’re all talk.” Before He Da Shan even finished speaking, Ying Xiu Jie had already thrown a punch. His body bent slightly forward while his legs bounced flexibly from side to side. Yet He Da Shan was equally agile and dodged the attack. Ying Xiu Jie raised both fists to guard his face, revealing only his sharp eyes.
The two exchanged blows rapidly, so fast that Ke Bu’s eyes could barely keep up. But despite He Da Shan’s powerful build, prolonged combat gradually left him breathing heavily, his speed clearly slowing down. Ying Xiu Jie, however, remained unchanged from beginning to end.
His punches shot forward rapidly.
“Too slow.”
He Da Shan dodged the first punch, but the second and third quickly became much harder to evade. Ying Xiu Jie leapt upward, smashing his elbow into He Da Shan’s shoulder. He Da Shan cried out in pain and swung a fist wildly, but Ying Xiu Jie had already retreated.
“Too slow. You’re way too slow.”
He Da Shan let out a roar like a black bear, terrifying to hear, as he charged toward Ying Xiu Jie. Given that terrifying momentum and strength, Ying Xiu Jie’s already injured body probably could not endure it. Yet suddenly Ying Xiu Jie pointed behind He Da Shan.
“Look, what’s that?”
Confused, He Da Shan turned around. Ying Xiu Jie instantly landed an uppercut straight into his face.
“Zhi Li taught me that.”
He Da Shan collapsed onto the ground.
“Now this is what being a man looks like!! See that?”
“You really don’t learn the good things, but you sure learn the bad things fast.”
Several people pinned He Da Shan down, though his strength was so overwhelming that tying him up proved difficult.
Ke Bu suddenly heard movement from the second floor. Walking upstairs, he found several tables surrounded by bookshelves. A gloomy-faced man sat on one of the chairs while Qiu Shui lounged atop a desk beside him with her long legs crossed.
“So you’re the president of the Taekwondo Club?”
“My name is Xue Fang. Scared?”
“There’s only one person I’m afraid of in this lifetime. Unfortunately, it’s not you. So it was you bastards who ordered all those people to mess with us?”
“I won’t deny that. Barking dogs naturally need to be taught a lesson. Otherwise, how would you recognize your master?” Xue Fang walked forward until he stood face-to-face with Ke Bu. A terrifying aura emanated from this man—cold eyes that made one shiver instinctively.
Xue Fang’s hand suddenly shot toward Ke Bu, only to be blocked.
“You’re underestimating me too much. After knowing Zhi Li for so many years, even if I didn’t want to, I still ended up unconsciously training my reflexes just to protect myself.”
Xue Fang had not expected the somewhat thin-looking Ke Bu to block his attack.
“I almost forgot. You’re one of that monster’s people. Since high school, I’ve trained Taekwondo desperately. Do you know how much suffering and how many injuries I endured for it? But no matter how hard I worked, people always compared me to that monster from your school. He never even did anything, yet in everyone’s eyes he still surpassed me. I really couldn’t stand being outdone by someone I’d never even met.”
Ke Bu’s eyes reddened as he clenched his fist and slammed it into Xue Fang’s abdomen.
“Don’t call him a monster! He has a name! You people are always like this, always! Zhi Li never wanted to compete with anyone. You’re the ones talking to yourselves and directing your own stupid drama. Can’t you just leave him alone in peace? He’s not some monster. Have you ever seen a monster that good-looking? Idiots like you are just too weak yourselves, so you blame others for being strong.”
“Hahaha, quite the mouth on you.” Even after taking the punch, Xue Fang seemed completely unaffected. He waved his hand lightly once more, and Ke Bu immediately felt his arm go numb from the impact. This man was incredibly strong. Ke Bu knew he was not his opponent.
Trying to catch him off guard, Ke Bu lashed out with a kick, but Xue Fang caught his leg effortlessly and casually flung him backward.
Ke Bu crashed into a warm embrace.
Startled, he turned around and saw a face still as clean and beautiful as ever. Behind him stood Su You Yan.
Zhi Li looked at Ke Bu and said softly,
“Sorry. I took a detour, so I’m late.”
