TUMIT – Volume 1: Chapter 67

“Guards!”

The Third Prince’s voice thundered through the chamber.

Hearing the command, Sun Ye immediately appeared outside the door. He was now the Third Prince’s personal guard, having replaced Su Ruhan.

“Invite Master Mo Ru, the Gu Master, to my Qinyi Courtyard.”

“Yes, Your Highness!”

In the blink of an eye, Sun Ye was already striding through the small streets of Witchcraft Town. Master Mo Ru wandered the world like a drifting cloud—finding him was no easy matter.

Meanwhile, Mu Xueshi lay curled on the floor like a shrimp, wracked with poison.

Before his eyes stood a pair of black pointed boots.

Instinctively, he grasped the Third Prince’s ankle, his face pleading desperately.

The prince’s expression remained calm, though faint concern stirred within him.

Could Mu Xueshi survive long enough to wait for Master Mo Ru?

Drawing on years of gu knowledge, the Third Prince crouched and pressed two fingers to Mu Xueshi’s throat, listening carefully to the pulse.

The poisoning was not yet severe. With a small dose of antidote, the suffering could be eased.

But his true concern lay elsewhere.

Mu Xueshi had killed so many thousand-year Gu insects. Such an act might bring fatal retaliation.

The Golden Silkworm Gu was currently growing stronger. When it sought human flesh to strengthen itself, it would first devour those who had harmed its kind.

Only a master like Mo Ru—deeply versed in gu arts—could perform the rituals necessary to remove the gu aura clinging to Mu Xueshi’s body.

But would Mo Ru truly sacrifice his own cultivation to save him?

Listening to Mu Xueshi’s weak cries on the floor, the Third Prince finally relented.

He lifted him into his arms and flew toward Lingzi Lake.

Mist curled across the water.

With surprising gentleness, the Third Prince removed Mu Xueshi’s clothes and lowered him into the lake.

Warm water enveloped them.

At once, the pain wracking Mu Xueshi’s body eased slightly.

His mind gradually cleared.

Staring at the breathtakingly handsome face before him, a strange sorrow welled up in his chest.

I shouldn’t have deceived him…

To obtain the antidote for Su Ying, I used such a method.

He barely knew Su Ying—a single meeting only. The boy was just a child, someone who deserved protection.

Compared with his feelings for the Third Prince, Su Ying’s importance was insignificant.

Then why had he agreed to the Second Prince’s request?

Was it because he believed the Second Prince’s claim that the Third Prince had no emotions?

Or because the Second Prince promised to grant any wish?

No.

Neither.

Mu Xueshi knew this world was not the one he once lived in. The people here were far more complicated.

Yet he could not believe the Third Prince truly felt nothing.

Though slow-witted at times, he could still sense the prince’s affection through the smallest gestures.

And besides—however powerful the Second Prince might be, finding such an insignificant silver coin within half a month was nearly impossible.

He had only wanted to avoid harming the innocent.

And he did not want to anger the Third Prince.

After all, the prince had once said he hated seeing Mu Xueshi treat others better than him.

At that moment, the Third Prince’s hands were already exploring Mu Xueshi’s body.

His gaze burned with barely restrained desire.

To expel the poison required naked contact—skin against skin. The Third Prince had removed Mu Xueshi’s mask.

With such beauty before him, how could he remain unmoved?

Heat began rising within Mu Xueshi as well.

The prince’s touch ignited unfamiliar flames of desire inside him. Strangely, he felt no rejection toward it. Had anyone else touched him this way, he would have been disgusted.

Was it because the Third Prince was his only friend?

Lost in thought, he suddenly felt the prince’s hand slide lower.

His inexperienced body reacted immediately.

Soft sounds escaped his lips as the prince’s hand moved rhythmically. Even Mu Xueshi was horrified at the pleasure in his voice.

Embarrassment flooded him, coloring his face deep red.

The Third Prince, however, appeared completely unbothered.

Seeing how natural he seemed, Mu Xueshi gradually relaxed into it as well.

Perhaps… this was simply a necessary method of treatment.

After all, if his injuries were improving, it was only natural to feel relief.
