TUMIT – Volume 1: Chapter 7

Chen Youzai headed to school in high spirits, pondering who to become next.

At the school gates, a familiar voice caught his ear—the very girl he secretly adored.

“See you tonight. Behind the school parking lot. I’ll wait for you!”

“Mm-hmm!”

“Don’t forget! Six o’clock!”

“I won’t. I’m heading to class!”

Chen Youzai exhaled sharply, glaring at the boy jogging away.

So what if his legs are longer? Taller? Bigger eyes? Broader shoulders? Does that justify such arrogance?

Six o’clock?

Behind the parking lot?

Shameless.

He cursed under his breath, hands plunging into his pockets—and brushed against the silver coin.

He froze.

Then his expression cleared like storm clouds parting before the sun.

Tonight… your girlfriend will be mine to toy with.

Grinning wickedly, he hurried to class.

After four periods, he crept toward the parking lot. His suspicious manner attracted more attention than he realized.

Stopping some distance away, he pondered.

Should he become the girl—or the boy?

If he became the girl, he could humiliate the boy. If he became the boy, he could take advantage of the girl.

Suddenly, he snapped his fingers.

Of course!

He would first become the girl and strike at the boy. Then become the boy and enjoy the girl’s affection. Finally, he would walk away coldly, leaving her with a shattered heart and a misunderstanding between them.

Perfect.

He burst into quiet laughter, congratulating himself on his brilliance.

Just then, a look of disgust fell upon him.

He turned—and met the very girl’s disdainful glare. Even after she walked away, he stood there clenching his fists.

It was all that rival’s fault. Without him, she would never look at him that way.

The coin flashed.

A heaviness settled upon his shoulder.

He looked down—a delicate handbag hung from his arm, carrying a faint fragrance.

Joy surged through him.

Without hesitation, he strode toward the parking lot.

The boy stood there casually, sports bag slung over one shoulder, smiling faintly as he saw the girl approaching.

“Why the rush, baby?” he teased, catching her as she rushed into his arms and taking her bag attentively.

At the word baby, “the girl” nearly gagged.

Her face twisted into something fierce and unnatural, as though the boy owed her two hundred yuan.
